Bought the Solid Fragrance case 3.0 with the Kissaten and Yama fragrances. The case itself has a nice heft to it and is extremely fun to hold and carry. The sliding action is very fun and I actually like to hold it with the pivot point closest to my palm and play with the lid at my desk.
The Kissaten fragrance is very smooth. The vanilla note comes through the strongest for me, followed by the saffron and tobacco. It has an ever so slight "spice" to it, but again it is mostly very soft and smooth.
Yama is my myself and my girlfriends favorite so far. It's got that sporty old-spice kind of punch to it, but is far from overpowering. I actually find that Yama takes on different notes as I wear it throughout the day. I can sometimes get a really lovely vanilla candle note and as the fragrance starts to fade, the patchouli starts taking the stage as a more woodsy, almost pine but very floral note. It's really great.
This is my first foray into solid fragrance but it's so nice being able carry cologne without having to worry about it spilling. Also the case itself doesn't "leak" the smell that much at all so it won't make your bag or pockets reek. As someone who loves
The main sell for me was the metal case because I am a sucker for metal EDC gadgets and toys. But this is something that has a genuine purpose and I am so pleased to say that the scents are not an afterthought. They are expertly formulated and smell great! Can't wait to try the other flavors as soon as these run out!
